West Virginia: No Thanks

I waited to blog about these West Virginia hillbilly racist torturers because I wanted to make sure it was for real. It sounds so crazy in 2007 to hear something like this that I was taken aback. I have never thought of West Virginia as being a place I'd wanna see, now I know that for a fact. My prayers go out to the victim and I hope justice is served for these racist lunatics. Think of this Deliverance type episode with the Jena6 nonsense and it is like America has taken a giant leap backwards. What presidential candidate has the guts to address this issue???

4 observations from the masses:
They are all scary looking trailer trash. May they all rot in hell for what they did to that woman. Where is all the uproar and Women organizations at when a black woman gets tortured?
it's out there but mostly on the internet. i don't get that network news has grasped this like the michael vick dog thing. thank goodness for bloggers!
I think that the problem is that Ms. Williams is doubly invisible in the US: she is black and in Appalachia. Either one is invisible on its own. When you put them together, no one will ever know. That's why I'm glad that the blogosphere is keeping it along.
Just one correction: this is not typical of West Virginia at all. It's a symptom of the racism endemic in all of the US.
^absolutely. my initial reaction is what i wrote and i think i amended it in another post. but if it isn't clear, i do appreciate that this crime should not be indicative of everyone who lives in west virginia. for that, i apologize.
