Today's hhmm moment goes to: Helping Hillary Clinton with her debt. I suppose it's the gracious thing to do, but she saw the writing on the wall and kept loaning herself money. You're telling me the Clintons can't raise $22 million?

Today's news states that Obama has cut a check to Mrs Clinton for 4K+. That's his right and more power to him but I'm trying to figure out why. Why does he feel any responsibility for her debt? As you said, the writing was on the wall and she continued. It does seem gracious of Obama but that's almost graciousness to a fault. I don't get it. Maybe you've got some insight on it.
^wow, thanks for wanting my insight. i am getting the impression that in order for hillary to stump for senator obama, these debts need to be cleared up. i guess she can't focus because of it. to me, it kinda feels like a bribe. and i heard on the radio the other day a very good point -- do we really believe that bill clinton wants another man to be the second two-term democrat in recent history? and more popular than him? i suppose he could handle it with his wife seeing as he kind of owes her that much, but he wasn't counting on another person stepping in. basically, i think it's some kind of political blackmail.
