Happy Father's Day
This day is a tough one for me. My father is still alive but he is very ill. He wasn't a perfect man by any stretch, but he was the perfect father for me. He was amused by me and loved to teach me things like how to mow the grass, make a bbq sauce and change my oil -- we shared hazel eyes and an infectious laugh. I miss you, Dad. Happy Father's Day!

Beautiful sentiment, Judes! I am sure this is a very difficult day for you, but, you already know Pops is very proud of you and the woman you have become! Also, I agree....WHO can go to sleepy while someone is sticking their FACE with a needel, referring to the girl who fell asleep while getting her 56 stars to her face....I am sure her Dad's reaction is what really caused the fallout! And, in my humble opinion, Jackie and HawthoRNe are totally different......but, both are good shows, mostly due to their lead characters....love you Sis! (clw)
My Dad is ill also... too many illness to name but still up and moving... sorta. Shingles now. *sighs* Anyhow, my Dad and I were never close... still not. I just exist... and I feel that's who he wants it, so I leave it.
At any rate, I never had a close relationship with either parent. Remember - 3 mothers. I almost want to envy you but GOD won't allow it. I've learned to love the life I was given because there is always someone having/knowing/living worse.
